How to refer for Telehealth

For Psychologists and Psychiatrists

Information on Referral Pathways.

Medicare referrals optionals for Psychogists

A Referral is not a requirement to see a Psychologist in Australia (whether by Telehealth or in person).  However a referral under Medicare through your GP will provide you with a substantial rebate for the fees payed.

You may also choose to use Private Health Insurance (check with your provider first for level of coverage) or pay privately without rebates.

The fees for each hour are unified and do not depend or which referral pathway you choose.  If you decide to get a referral, please upload your referral information or fax it to us on +618 615 46435.

What we do

I

Referral

Send you a referral through a Cloud Psych individually generated email account.

Each clinician is provided with a personal secure calendar where you can view your bookings and fees paid.

II

Choose

Review the referral and accept or decline the request.
All new referrals will be aware of your fees and if you accept the referral a digital intake form along with referral information will be electronically available to you.

III

Consult

If you accept a referral, your individual calendar will be updated with your clients name and a link for online consults.
You do not need any special software to download however a stable internet connection is required.

IV

Conclude

After your session is finished, your private fees and Medicare rebates (if applicable) are automatically processed.

You do not need to do anything other than keep your clinical notes.
