Dr Rachel Gould is an empathic Clinical Psychologist, who enjoys working with adults and adolescents with a wide range of issues. She particularly values helping people with mood, worry and distress problems. These might originate either from the past or have occurred more recently.

Rachel is focussed on compassionate and collaborative approaches to treatment. She believes this approach will help to alleviate distress, resolve problems and increase wellbeing. Her training enables her to work in a flexible and responsive way, with a range of theoretical and evidence-based therapeutic approaches.She draws on the most appropriate approaches, according to your needs and preferences.

Rachel recognises that no two people are the same, and that it is important to understand you as an individual. For therapy to be effective, she believes it is vital to build a strong therapeutic partnership in a safe and supported environment. In therapy, she will take time to listen and carefully develop with you an agreed approach that is tailored to your needs. Her aim is for you to develop and draw on your existing strengths and skills.

Nicholas has a Masters Degree in Organisational Psychology and provides services focussing on workplace issues and professional development. Nicholas has significant expertise in psychological assessment in recruitment, vocational preferences, job capacity and workers compensation. He also offers organisational development initiatives such as leadership development, knowledge management and training needs assessment. Nicholas works as a strategic partner to his clients in line with their individual objectives and organisational values. Nicholas also specialises in personal counselling associated with professional development, workplace stress, careers coaching, and conflict management. His approach is informed by positive psychology with its emphasis on providing the conditions for human flourishing. He aims to identify individual strengths and coping strategies and develop more solution-focused outcomes. Nicholas has a particular interest in mindfulness practice and stress inoculation therapy.

Dr Brendon Dellar is a Clinical Psychologist in private practice and and a Fellow of the Australian Psychological Society of Clinical Psychologists (FCCLP) and a Member of the Australian and New Zealand Association of Psychiatry, Psychology & Law (ANZAPPL). Dr Dellar has worked extensively in the area of treating Addictive Behaviours, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and complex Bereavement (where individuals may experience co-morbid grief reactions as well as traumatic anxiety). His main area of clinical interest is in trauma with co-morbid conditions such as alcohol & drug dependency, grief and depression. He has been involved as a consultant for agencies involved in addictions and traumatic grief. Due to cost of living pressures, Dr Dellar is currently bulk billing those with a GP Referral under Medicare.

Jess is a Clinical Psychologist with over 10 years of experience. The majority of her experience has been working with children, adolescents and their families on a variety of issues. These issues include anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation and self-harm. Jess also has an extensive experience within the school setting and so work with youth with psychological, behavioural and learning difficulties. She also has a particular interest in resilience and social issues having completed a Master’s thesis on cyber bullying.

Sandra Hartmann, Clinical Psychologist

Sandra Hartmann is a fully endorsed Clinical Psychologist who completed her Masters in Counselling Psychology in 2006, and was endorsed as a Clinical Psychologist in 2013.  She has extensive experience working with all areas of general psychology, and in assessing and treating post-traumatic stress injuries in adults. She is registered as a Psychologist and a Supervisor with AHPRA and is a member of the Australian and International Societies for Traumatic Stress Studies (ISTSS/ASTSS). She is trained in a range of recognised therapeutic treatments for PTSD, including EMDR, and recently travelled to the USA to undertake training in a new treatment modality, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART).

Sandra worked as a senior practitioner with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs (VVCS) and with the Australian Defence Force for 12 years and has recently worked as a FIFO psychologist in the Perth metropolitan and East Pilbara regions providing services for FIFO and remote residential mining employees and their families.

Walace is a Clinical Psychologist with 20 years experience working in mental health, in a variety of roles and environments, including; the drug and alcohol sector, community outreach, employment services, private practice and public health.
Walace has worked with diverse groups, including; children/adolescents, couples, carers, emergency first responders, defence personnel, perpetrators of DV and indigenous groups. He is currently working in a community mental health team, treating chronic, acute and high risk psychiatric presentations.

Aaron is a registered Clinical Psychologist who has assisted individuals, couples and families from diverse backgrounds and life stages. He has experience and interest in the areas of anxiety, depression, self-worth and identity, emotional difficulties, adverse life experiences and trauma, interpersonal conflicts, as well as alcohol and drug related issues.

Aaron works within a collaborative and non-judgemental framework, where past relationships/experiences are carefully and empathically explored, with an emphasis on understanding their impact on current functioning. With this shared understanding, Aaron will work with you to identify an approach that is targeted towards meeting your therapeutic goals and achieving meaningful outcomes.

Claudia Ovenden, Clinical Psychologist

Claudia Ovenden is endorsed by APRHA as both a Clinical and Counselling Psychologist and has a special interests in mindfulness based therapies and Schema Therapy. Claudia holds a BA from the University of Melbourne, and a PGradDip Psych and Master of Psychology (with distinction) from Curtin University of Technology. Claudia Is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and maintains membership of both the Clinical and Counselling Colleges of the APS.

Since 2005 Claudia has been based at The Hollywood Clinic where she has done group work with psychiatric inpatients and day patients with a variety of often complex presentations. She currently works on the Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) Skills Program and the Alcohol and Substance Use follow up program. Claudia is unable to provide individual assistance to clients who are also receiving services (or plan to) in the DBT Skills Program.

Claudia has worked in university settings in roles related to research in health behaviour and drug use, teaching a foundation unit in Addiction Studies and as a student and staff counsellor. Claudia has peer reviewed publications in the area of drug use and harm reduction. She has also worked in the not-for-profit sector counselling people with addictions.

Claudia has a special interest in Schema Therapy, an extension of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy to address longstanding life patterns which influence thinking, feelings, memories, behaviour and relationships. Claudia also uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, plus mindful and compassionate interventions to help reduce arousal and regulate emotions. Claudia can assist clients to develop their capacity to calm their minds using meditation with the use of a portable EEG device to give real time feedback.
